The Entrepreneur and the Amateur are quite different and can sometimes be one and the same. In my years of creating products and services along with finding and honing my talents and gifts Cheap Men's Nike Air Max 97 Triple White , the one big difference between the Entrepreneur and the Amateur is the mindset of that individual.


When I interview someone that is interested in becoming an associate of my company, I can tell who has vision and who does not. Vision is what I am able to see the future for yourself within the context of that particular companies vision. When I hear how much does the job pay or when do I get my first paycheck or how many vacation days do I get along with sick pay, then I know this person is not in it for the long haul and has only limited vision.


This is the amateur I referred to earlier. There are many people that I have gone through along this journey. (Sounds like a serious movie!) These individuals did not have the vision or capacity to get the job done. They were amateurs in every sense of the word playing in a serious game.

This is the phrase I came up with to best describe the true Entrepreneur from the amateur entrepreneur. Over time, you will come across a whole slew of people who really want to become self-sufficient and create or design a life for themselves with the natural talents they have been given. Yet, research indicates that out of 100 people you come in contact with who may really want to pursue a vision of work autonomy Cheap Men's Nike Air Vapormax Plus Black , only 3% will be ready and willing to finish the job and go on to the next phase of their dreams.


This is why I came up with the phrase Entrepreneurial Natural Selection. This is not the survival of the fittest, but the survival of the committed! You must totally believe in yourself and your vision if you are going to make it in this arena. The struggles can be immense and the uncertainty overwhelming. This journey will sometimes put you in turmoil and will challenge you at your very core. Even when you are committed and are following through with your committed vision!


The natural selection will take place and the partner or partners you once had will be back to their old ways making a living instead of designing a life and a future. Don't fall victim to this and keep your vision and commitment in front of you always. Remember why your are doing this and keep motivated and focused and watchful at all times!


By doing so, you will not be one of the 97 out of a hundred that have fallen to Entrepreneurial Natural Selection!

I am writing this from the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina in the southeastern region of the United States.

It is gorgeous here in April, with trees covered in white or pink blossoms Cheap Women's Nike Air Max 270 Triple White , masses of yellow forsythia in bloom and flowers of many colors bursting forth in gardens and along the roadsides.

It takes my breath away.

As I allow myself to soak up the beauty all around me, I think about the experience of being a parent. I can't help it.

Here are some of the messages Spring is whispering to me this year:

1. Allow everything to happen in its own time.

I remember how, in January, we were longing for Spring to come. Looking at the bare trees Cheap Men's Nike Air Force 270 Metallic Black , I could imagine the blossoms of April and silently urged Spring to hurry.

But the time was not right.

It's like raising children. There is an inner rhythm, a natural unfolding that cannot be hurried. We can't force the blossoming.

My grand-daughter just took her first steps. She is 13 months old.

For the last few months, she has been standing and walking around the furniture. The adults in her life have been encouraging her to take those un-supported steps.

She was not ready.

Some things cannot be hurried.

Is there something that you want your child to do or to become that seems to be taking a long time?

Are you impatient?

This may be the time for you to allow the natural process to unfold in its own time.

Trust the knowing within your child. The same inner guidance that we all have within us is within our children as well.

Allow them to bloom in their own way, in their own time.

2. Appreciate each day for the gifts it brings.

The magnificent beauty of Spring is so fleeting.

I wanted to stop time and hold on to the beauty of it all, but I knew I couldn't.

So I took the time to sit and watch the branches dancing gently in the wind. I soaked in as much of the beauty as I could and felt an overwhelming gratitude to be a part of that magic moment.

Now the blossoms have been replaced by tiny green leaves. The moment of magnificence has passed. Too quickly.

Today I have a choice. I can regret the loss of the blossoms. Or I can appreciate the beauty that is before me now. Flowers gave way to leaves, but the tree is still beautiful.

When my children were teenagers, our relationships went through phases.

Other days, we had difficult issues to work through, or they seemed withdrawn. I felt very disconnected from them.
